KARACHI: After dropping petrol bomb on the nation, the government is all set to raise electricity tariff by two percent.
The new hike is being announced in line with the instructions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The government has hiked prices of electricity by 90 percent in the name of fuel adjustment surcharge during the last one and half year.
Under the IMF conditions, the government now intends to increase per unit price of electricity to another 20 percent by June next year.
People say that days are not far when only affluent section of the society will have access to electricity. Geo436
