Geo 436 LAHORE: Former Karachi mayor Syed Mustafa Kamal Saturday announced that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), having been denied permission to hold convention at Minar-e-Pakistan, will now organize simultaneous conventions at arts councils in Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi on April 25. "Quaid-e-Tahreek Altaf Hussain will address these conventions via telephone from London," Mustafa Kamal said while addressing a press conference here. He said the Punjab government refused to grant permission to hold convention at the Minar-e-Pakistan 'where crowd of hundreds of thousands of people was expected to turn up.' "The convention will now be held simultaneously in Alhamra Hall of the arts councils in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan," he announced.
