Match fixing probe begins against Modi

Geo 436 MUMBAI: Investigations of match fixing against IPL commissioner Lalit Modi has begun here on Monday while the Indian cricket board has decided to remove him from the post of IPL commissioner. As per income tax report, strange change in Modi's life style will be scrutinized as he has been included in the richest people of India within four years. The report revealed that the IPL commissioner is involved in match fixing and betting whereas Modi has also limited ownership rights of three of the eight teams in the Indian Premier League. These teams also include Rajasthan Royals who was the winner of the IPL's first edition. Accoding to Indian media, the Indian cricket board has called a meeting on May 2 for removing Modi from the IPL chairmanship.
