Geo 436 LAHORE: Actress Veena Malik and cricketer Mohammad Asif after reaching a compromise withdrew applications filed in Lahore High Court against each other, Geo News reported. Earlier, Mohammad Asif and Veena Malik seeking action against each other moved the Lahore High Court (LHC). Asif filed a petition in the LHC challenging order of an additional district and sessions judge who on an application of Veena had directed police to proceed against the player in accordance with law. The actress also approached the LHC against police for not registering a case under section 489-F of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) in the light of orders issued by the sessions judge. Counsels of both parties appeared before court and informed the bench about the compromise, consequently withdrawing the petitions.
