Geo436 LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain Saturday paying rich tributes to slain party leader Dr. Imran Farooq, said the latter's name would shine forever in the history of MQM's struggle and its glow would never grow dim.

According to a party statement issued here on Saturday, speaking to the members of MQM Coordination Committee and other office bearers, Altaf Hussain said: "Dr. Imran Farooq Shaheed waged a struggle for the rights of deprived and oppressed masses right from his student days till he breathed his last."

He said Dr. Imran Farooq rendered all sorts of sacrifices for furthering the party mission and continued to stand his ground in the face of daunting challenges and times of trial. "He remained committed to the oath he took for the Tehreek and proved the truth of his loyalty by sacrificing his life," Altaf Husain added.
