Geo436.com blog: Power tariff raised by 2pc

Geo436 ISLAMABAD: Power tariff has been increased by two percent with immediate effect, Geo News report Friday.

Consumers all over the country would be charged with the increased tariff.

According to a announcement by Ministry of Water and Power the tariff has been hiked under the authority to determine the overall power tariff on quarterly basis.

Electricity rates have been raised keeping in view the tariff during April – June and would be effective from October 1, 2010.

The raise was for eight electricity distribution companies and the Karachi Electric Supply Company.
