Geo436.com blog: No clash between govt., judiciary: PM Gilani

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said that there is no clash between the government and apex court, adding that the government will remain there and men, who predict, will be discouraged.

PM Gilani on Monday also announced that ten ministries would be reduced from the federal cabinet in the next couple of months.

While talking to journalists, he said that his government will prefer merit at all levels. Officials were promoted (today) on merit, he added.

He said that the judiciary wanted a democratic system to flourish in the country. There is no clash between the government and judiciary.

PM Gilani said that President Asif Ali Zardari has appointed Justice (retd.) Deedar Hussain Shah as NAB chairman according to the constitution.

He said that a change would be brought in the cabinet according to the 18th
