Geo436.com blog: Bilour defends President Zardari

Geo436 Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Terming President Asif Ali Zardari as the most humble and sedate person, Federal Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour urged the critics to let the government complete its five-year constitutional term.

Speaking at an opening ceremony of a Safari train here on Sunday, the federal minister said that the next government would also fail to complete its term if the present set-up was not given its tenure.

He said the railways ministry has requested a loan of Rs5 billion from the government in a bid to reduce the increasing deficit.

"The ministry will be able to stand on its feet if we get the requirement loan," he commented.

Bilour said that Chinese engines were substandard, hoping that American engines, if provided, would improve the situation. Geo436
