Geo436 KARACHI: A million rupees Cessna charter plane, owned by Sindh government, has been sold out quietly to a Saudi-based company, Geo News reported Saturday. Sindh Information Advisor Jamil Soomro told media that Sindh government resolved to sell Cessna charter plane worth millions of rupees last year, but despite publishing a tender in 2009, none came in front to buy plane. Subsequently, the plane has been sold out to a Saudi-based company silently, he revealed adding, two pilots have arrived Karachi Saturday to fly plane to Saudi Arabia. The plane, grounded a year ago, has been transported to Karachi airport from PIA's Faisal Base yesterday's evening. Meanwhile, Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) has issued clearance for plane to fly to Saudi Arabia because reason, for its transportation mentioned on No Objection Certificate (NOC), is repairing. Whereas experts, raising serious concern over the issue, have asked Sindh government that why 'for repairing purpose' is written on NOC as a reason for its transportation to Saudi Arabia, if the plane has been sold out.
