Geo436.com blog: Met Office forecasts isolated rain

Geo436 ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday indicated chances of isolated rain and thunderstorm in twin cities, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24-48 hours. According to met analysis, seasonal low lies over Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending northeastwards. A westerly wave is prevailing over upper parts of the country and can cause rainy/cloudy conditions at isolated places during next 48 hours. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, isolated rain/thunderstorm is expected in Malakand, Hazara and Peshawar divisions during next 24 to 48 hours. However, hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh while mainly dry weather with gusty winds is expected in Balochistan during next few days. In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, isolated rain/thunderstorm is expected during next 48 hours with occasional gaps.
