Part of New York’s Times Square has been sealed off – after police found bomb-making equipment in a car. The area was evacuated after the vehicle began emitting smoke. Officers have recovered gasoline, propane and wires connected to a timer. New York’s mayor says the device could have been ‘very deadly’.
