Pagara predicted that like his maternal grandfather, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will one day become the General-Secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League

President Asif Ali Zardari Wednesday reiterated that democracy will be saved from derailment in any kind of circumstances and that the government will complete its five-year term by showing resilience rather than depending on others' charity.

He was talking to a delegation of provincial ministers that called on him here at the Presidency.

Some of the ministers present in the meeting later talking to Geo News quoted President Zardari as saying: "I know well how to manage and run the democratic system and no can protect democratic set up better than People's Party."

President Zardari said working relationship with Punjab government will be maintained despite difficult circumstances.

"We are politicians and extend help to the politicians so that they should not look up to non-political elements in desperation," the President was quoted as saying.

He said he is not the kind of leader who would give up in the face of difficulties and run away from the country.

The meeting decided to issue cards for provision of diesel at lower rates to the flood-affected growers.

The President said he would direct the federal government to lower the rates of electricity for the flood-affected areas while recommendation for waiving the electricity bills will also be put forth.

He said fertilizers and seeds will be given to the affected growers before the sowing of next seasons' crops.

The President paid tribute to the ministers for PPP's success in the bye-elections in Punjab.
