Hunza lake: official boat service to resume today


GEO 436 HUNZA: Ata Abad Lake is persistently making outflow of 6500 cusecs from the spillway; while, the administration said the official boat service for the Upper Hunza areas of Gojal, Gilmat, Shashkat, Hussaini and Phassu, would be resumed today, Geo News reported Monday. Helicopter service was still suspended. The outpouring from the lake stands at 6500 cusecs, which is receiving equal quantity of water in contrast. Locals were using boat to bring food items and rescue people on their own. Area of Gojal has been disconnected from the country since January and boat and helicopter services were the only means of communication.
