Geo436 KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza said the Home Department issued a notice to the chief of Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), as the official in question has not quit his political activities, Geo News reported Wednesday.
Talking to media after inaugurating Complaint Center here, he said the present chief of the CPLC belonged to a political party despite the fact that the Committee was established without any political affiliation.
Mirza informed that the CPLC chief has been sent a report on his political association; however, he (CPLC chief) has not submitted any reply as yet.
The man was appointed for the office on ad hoc basis for one year, the Sindh Home Minister said.
Replying to a query, the minister said all the incidents of target killings are politically motivated and are being investigated into, adding the people arrested on charges of target killings, belong to either political parties or outlawed outfits.
