ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has ordered IG Punjab to take action against DPO and SP Investigation over the brutal killing of 2 brothers in broad daylight and in front of police in Sialkot.
The court has directed the police to submit findings of the case on daily basis and ordered Director General Anti-Corruption to complete investigation in seven days.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday head the case after taking suo motto notice of the incident.
DPO Sialkot told the court that FIR against 12 people has been lodged on charges of murder of the two young men while SHO has been taken into custody.
The court said that the DPO and SP Investigation Sialkot have failed in maintenance of law and order in the city and that they should be suspended immediately. The court ordered IG Punjab to initiate immediate action against them.
The hearing was later adjourned till September 1.
